Direct Tension Indicators (DTI)

LOADSTAR Direct Tension Indicators (DTIs) are specialised hardened washers that provide a simple, reliable, and tamper-evident method of verifying that the correct bolt preload has been achieved in an HSFG assembly. Unlike torque-based methods — which measure rotational resistance rather than actual bolt tension — DTI washers directly confirm the clamping force in the joint, eliminating uncertainty from friction variation and tool calibration errors.
